Fergie Furbelow
This is Fergie Furbelow. She is a character from "Jetsons: The Movie" and we have the same name (except that mine is spelled with a "u"). My 26-year-old friend Michelle informed me of this after she watched the movie with her husband :)

New TV show obsession
So. I'm hooked.
I've done a pretty good job in recent months abstaining from excessive tv-watching (or hulu-watching) but Parenthood is about to change all of that. I'm currently on episode 7 and I'm loving it. Probably because I find Lauren Graham's fast-talking ways hilarious (Gilmore Girls anyone?) and every time I see Minka Kelly I think of Friday Night Lights, which is an epic show as well. So. All that to say that if you, too, are a fan of this show, we should probably hang out and have a marathon someday soon.
And if you're not hooked, you should be. And then we can be friends :)

An evening at apartment 11
This was our evening entertainment. Seriously, we just sit there for embarrassingly long periods of time and watch them play.

Kid's soccer, pasta, and an afternoon nap- another Oxford Saturday
Saturday morning, I went to the Oxford Community Park to watch my friend's kids play soccer... and they were adorable. I then made myself some delicious pesto pasta for lunch, took a lovely nap with my kittens, and watched half of a 3-hour-long movie (apparently it's really good, but so far I'm just really confused and somewhat disturbed). I'll give you the update after I finish it tonight.

Go Cards!
Friday night, I went to my first Colerain football game.... and it was a BLOWOUT. Colerain totally dominated and I think the final score ended up being 55-0. Yikes. I left with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter because it was actually somewhat painful to watch.
And eating some delicious soft serve at Orange Leaf sounded like a lot more fun :)

More Summer Project flashback
Downton Abbey has stolen my heart
On top of watching the X-Men trilogy, Liz and I also managed to bust through both seasons of Downton Abbey.... and we're hooked. Sadly, we'll have to wait a few months for season 3 to start up but I have no doubt that it will totally be worth the wait.
X-Men marathon
So. I had never seen the X-Men movies until about a week ago... which is when Liz finally realized that I hadn't seen them and decided that we would watch the first one. Then I got hooked and the next two days were spent watching the second and third movies as well. Loved them. And, given the release date of the first movie, apparently I'm about 9 years late... typical :)
Song Obsession #18
This is a song that was played during communion at the Oaks (the church I go to) a couple of weeks ago... totally tugs at my heart-strings.
Send wings to lift the clutch of sin
You who dwell between the cherubim
From war without and fear within
Relieve the grief from the
shoulders of crumbling men
Thursday fun
The babies are going through a bit of a destructive phase...
Bowling Round 5... team style
Happy first day of work!
To celebrate me successfully making it through my first day of work, Liz and I hit up Krishna and enjoyed some incredible chicken tikka masala (spice level 2)... with plain nan... in case anyone wants to surprise me with carry-out someday.

| I managed to get a giant blob of sauce on my white t-shirt and the nice waitress miraculously happened to have a tide to-go pen with her. Which was pretty awesome. |
I'm Backkkkk!!!
My dear bloggers! I'm so sorry for abandoning you for the past two weeks. There's so much to catch you up on!
Here are a few big ones:
Here are a few big ones:
- I now have a full-time job teaching at Colerain High School (HUGE blessing)
- I have moved about .8 miles down the street from my apartment into a house (with some friends from Cru)
- I have made a step towards overcoming my commitment issues by officially becoming a member of the church I've been attending for the last 4 years
