Babysitting Adventures

Today I had the privilege of hanging out with my cousins Averie and Bailey in West Chester. We spent some time at the pool, we ate lots of applesauce, and Bailey rocked out a 4 hour nap. I'd say it was a pretty good day :)

Staff Team!

This is Miami's lovely Cru staff team. We've spent the past three days reconnecting and getting ready for students to return to campus for another great year of ministry! This year, I'll be working with Cru as affiliate staff which means I'll be doing ministry part time with Miami's athletes and will hopefully be teaching high school as well. I'm currently on the job hunt so if you could be praying that I'd find a job soon, that would be much-appreciated :)

Whoopsies!

So. My lovely roommate put me in charge of organizing Kofenya's storage room and I was thus in charge of the keys that open the doors to the storage room. Unfortunately, amidst my hard work and bustling about, I misplaced them (the only set of keys that opens those doors, mind you). Since there was no way to get back in the room, I recruited Tex (my ninja friend) to use his skills of unlocking doors without the use of keys and although I was skeptical of whether or not he'd be successful, he totally rocked it out. And I was thoroughly impressed. Once we were able to finally get back in the room, we spent the next 15 minutes searching until we found the keys hiding in the corner. Crisis averted.

Fuzzy Bratwurst update

Sadly, our team lost 3-5 in the slowpitch softball finals. However, we run-ruled the athletic department's team 14-3 in the semi-finals so we at least felt somewhat accomplished :)

Last night, my slowpitch softball team (the legendary Fuzzy Bratwursts) pulled out our first victory of summer session 2. Although we've been off to a bit of a slow start, it seems that we're finally back in action and ready to dominate once again.
